Bernie and Capt Juan on Nano Shark were amazing! I did the same tour last year with Isla Sea Tours and booked again because of the great experience last year. They made you feel safe in and out of the water.

Fishing Charter FAQ
What types of fishing charters do you offer?
Three private charters: bay fishing (trolling near the coast, in calm water, perfect for families and beginners), deep sea fishing (trolling in the open ocean for bigger game fish) and bottom fishing (we stop over the reef and drop the bait to the bottom for snapper and grouper).
What is included in the fishing charter?
A private boat, an experienced captain and mate, rods, bait and tackle, a cooler with ice, water and soft drinks, safety equipment and life jackets, fishing licenses and cleaning of your catch.
How long are the trips?
Bay fishing is 4 hours (departs 8:30 AM), deep sea fishing is 6 hours (departs 7:30 AM) and bottom fishing is 5 hours (departs 8:00 AM). Every charter is private, so the departure time can be adjusted on request.
What can we catch?
Bay fishing: snapper, barracuda, triggerfish, jacks, bonito, mackerel and kingfish. Deep sea (by season): mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, sailfish and blue or white marlin. Bottom fishing: snapper, grouper and triggerfish.
How many people can join?
Bay and deep sea charters include 1 to 6 guests, and you can add up to 2 more for a small extra fee per person (max 8). Bottom fishing is for up to 6 guests.
Do I need fishing experience?
Not at all. Our captain and mate guide you through everything, from setting lines to reeling in your catch.
Can we keep the fish we catch?
Yes. We clean and fillet your catch, and you can take it to your hotel or to a restaurant that will cook it for you.
What should I bring?
Biodegradable sunscreen, hat and sunglasses, light clothing, a towel and a camera or GoPro. Extra snacks or drinks are optional.
Is the tour family friendly?
Yes. Bay and bottom fishing are great for kids and families. Deep sea fishing is recommended for guests comfortable with open-ocean waves.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the port authority does not allow tours because of weather or conditions are unsafe, you can change your date or receive a full refund.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel or change the date of your charter up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund or a date change. Changes or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the charter, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund. Weather cancellations by the port authority get a full refund or a date change.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, PayPal, cash in USD or MXN, and bank transfer on request.
Do you offer custom or extended trips?
Yes. We can arrange extended deep sea charters, target-specific trips such as sailfish, and combination trips of fishing plus snorkeling. Tell us what you are looking for.
