Bay fishing and deep sea fishing are both trolling: we pull lures or bait behind the moving boat. The difference is where. Bay fishing stays near the coast, in calmer water. Deep sea goes out to the open ocean for bigger fish. In bottom fishing the boat stops over the reef and you drop your bait to the bottom. Dock fees and taxes included. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Your day on the water

Arrival and check-in
Meet at the Isla Sea Tours Dock or Perla Negra Dock in Isla Mujeres, or at Punta Sam (Cancun). Meet your captain and crew and review the safety briefing and fishing plan.

Fishing begins
Head out on your private boat. Bay fishing: we troll near the coast. Deep sea: we go beyond the island to the open ocean. Bottom fishing: we stop over the reef and drop the bait to the bottom.

Snacks and refreshments
Cold drinks and light snacks on board while the crew helps with baiting and catching techniques.

Bring your camera or ask about our photography package. Optionally, add a snorkeling stop on some charters.

What types of fishing charters do you offer?
Inshore bay fishing (calm waters, perfect for families and beginners) and offshore deep sea fishing (open ocean for bigger game fish).
What is included in the fishing charter?
A private boat, an experienced captain and mate, rods, bait and tackle, a cooler with ice, water and soft drinks, safety equipment and life jackets, fishing licenses and cleaning of your catch.
How long are the trips?
Inshore bay fishing is 4 hours and offshore deep sea fishing is 6 hours.
What can we catch?
Inshore: snapper, barracuda, triggerfish, jacks and bonito. Offshore (seasonal): mahi mahi, tuna, wahoo, sailfish and blue or white marlin.
How many people can join?
Up to 6 passengers for inshore trips and up to 4 for offshore trips.
Do I need fishing experience?
Not at all. Our captain and mate guide you through everything, from setting lines to reeling in your catch.
Can we keep the fish we catch?
Yes. We clean and fillet your catch, and you can take it to your hotel or to a restaurant that will cook it for you.
What should I bring?
Biodegradable sunscreen, hat and sunglasses, light clothing, a towel and a camera or GoPro. Extra snacks or drinks are optional.
Is the tour family friendly?
Yes. Inshore fishing is great for kids and families. Offshore fishing is recommended for guests comfortable with open-ocean waves.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the port authority does not allow tours because of weather or conditions are unsafe, you can change your date or receive a full refund.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel or change the date of your charter up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund or a date change. Changes or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the charter, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund. Weather cancellations by the port authority get a full refund or a date change.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, PayPal, cash in USD or MXN, and bank transfer on request.
Do you offer custom or extended trips?
Yes. We can arrange extended deep sea charters, target-specific trips such as sailfish, and combination trips of fishing plus snorkeling. Tell us what you are looking for.
